Finisterrae
A set of two coffee tables of varying heights. The project is centered on the composition of the veneer, where precisely cut surfaces generate a geometric pattern across the top.
The grain flows continuously from the horizontal plane down into the legs, following a direction reminiscent of water reaching the edge and falling beyond it — a reference to the idea of Finisterrae, the end of the land.
Material, pattern and structure are treated as a single system, where continuity defines the identity of the piece.
